Margaret Francis is a singer and music teacher based in the South Brisbane area. Completing her studies in Classical Voice Performance in 2016 under international soprano Sarah Crane, Margaret had the opportunity to perform as a soloist in Handel’s Messiah for St John’s Cathedral and play The Juggler in UQ Vocalists’ tour of children’s opera Sid The Serpent Who Wanted To Sing in Regional Queensland. Margaret has also performed with singers such as John Farnham, Josh Groban, Kate Ceberano, Katie and Maggie Noonan, and the Queensland Symphony Orchestra.
Specialising in vocal, piano, flute and music theory tuition, Margaret has extensive experience teaching students of any age in many different genres across her various instruments. Currently studying vocal pedagogy under Emma Kate Wilson, Margaret has been keenly expanding her vocal specialisations to encompass opera/classical voice, musical theatre, jazz and popular/contemporary styles.
Margaret has an immense passion for the importance of music education and its transformative power to everyone’s lives and is constantly excited to be sharing her ever-expanding knowledge of music with her students through her home studio in Kangaroo Point and through Browning Street Studios teaching internship program in West End.
