Momo Hosking started music lessons at the age of 3 in her native country Japan. One of her passions is Warabeuta – traditional Japanese Nursery Rhymes.
From the age of 10 to 16 she sang and performed in a Japanese children’s choir. This Choir used to tour little villages in rural traditional Japan (Nara) and visit old people in order to learn old nursery rhymes which are no longer sung.
Momo’s ambition is to pass those songs on to the next generation and helps mothers/fathers/carers to teach their kids at home. Her Warabeuta classes are on Tuesday mornings. ( She will be teaching childrens songs, douyou as well as Warabeuta. Lessons are in Japanese)
Her other passion is the piano. Momo has a Yamaha piano teaching accreditation (grade 5) from Japan.
She is also a graduate of The Osaka Junior College of Music and The Osaka School of Music. At these colleges she studied classical music and popular music for piano (as well as music theory and music history).
Piano students can be taught in Japanese or English and Piano lessons are available on Thursday afternoons. We look forward to working with Momo!
