Admissions:
Admission of new students to our instrumental and vocal programs is subject to availability and teacher-suitability. We aim for excellent teacher/student matching as a quality relationship is central to successful learning. For this reason, we request that all prospective students/guardians take time to download and complete our New Student Application Form (click the link to download and print). This form also streamlines the admissions process for our teachers who are often busy teaching and cannot always attend instantly to new student enquiries.
Not all new student applications will be able to be accommodated each term. If no places are available, you will be emailed as such and your details will be added to our waiting list. You may be removed from this list at any time if you request.
If places are available, a teacher will contact you to arrange an audition date. Auditions are held on a non-competitive basis and facilitate a good student-teacher fit. Auditions are also a great opportunity to meet a teacher, ask questions, and assess the suitability of our organisation for your music education needs. These auditions take the format of a usual one-on-one lesson and are thus charged at our standard rates. Teachers can also call you to answer any questions you may have prior to arranging such a meeting.
Pricing:
(Current as at February 1, 2012)
Instrumental lessons are charged at $66/hour or $35/half hour.
Your teacher may offer discounts for monthly or term accounts. Please speak with your teacher for more information about pricing.
Vocal lessons are charged at $70/hour or $40/half hour. This is to cover additional costs of backing tracks and sheet music.
